Exmoor
Exmoor National Park was established in 1954 and covers an area of 267 square miles. Exmoor is one of twelve national parks in England and Wales with a population of over 10,500 persons. It was the eighth park chosen to be protected and preserve its natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage. Exmoor offers some of the finest breathtaking unspoilt countryside and coastal views in the UK. The moor is also home to the Exmoor pony and ancient wild red deer herds that wander freely over the parkland.Description Authored by: Barry, Devon
