Buckfastleigh Station Taken by Martin Cope of Knowsley

Buckfastleigh

The Tranquil town of Buckfastleigh is located on the southern edge of the Dartmoor National Park just off the A38 Devon Expressway. The town, which has a history connected with the woollen industry and the quarrying of limestone, is best known for the nearby Buckfast Abbey, home to the Benedictine monks founded during the reign of King Canute in 1018, and the South Devon Steam Valley Railway, which runs along the river Dart to Totnes.
