Kingsbridge
Kingsbridge is an interesting old town at the hub of the South Hams whose roots go back to a 13th century charter permitting a market on the quay, busy with shipping in earlier times but nowadays used by pleasure craft. Fore Street leads up through the centre of the town and contains many distinctive shops and old buildings. At the top is the oldest part of the town, including a medieval shambles, St Edmund's Church dating from the 13/15th century, a town hall with a 3 faced clock and a museum housed in an old grammar school.Description Authored by: Malcolm Lee,
