Kingsteignton
The friendly village of Kingsteignton can be found just off the A380 at the head of the Teign estuary just north of Newton Abbot. The village which is said to be one of the biggest villages in England is ideally located for commuting to the cities of Exeter or Plymouth whilst only a few miles from the sea or moorland. There are some lovely thatched buildings and picturesque parts of Kingsteignton to be discovered. The church of St Michael with its 85ft tower was rebuilt in the 15th century. The village is also known for its annual Ram Roasting fair and Kingsteignton clay which was first supplied to Josiah Wedgewood in the 18th century.Description Authored by: DL, Kingsteignton
