Princetown is the highest village on Dartmoor and is the home of Dartmoor Prison.
The Dartmoor National Parks High Moorland Visitor Centre and also the Dartmoor
Prison museum are situated here and both are well worth a visit. There are also
3 Pubs in the village serving delicious food and drinks, also some gift shops,
a fish and chip shop and a Cafe, the village is also on the Thomas Tyrwitt route
that enables the visitor to walk along the disused Railway Track.
