Salcombe
Salcombe is a fine natural harbour set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. During the holiday season the old- world streets are packed with visitors and the water busy with boats and yachts. Marine activities include an annual regatta dating back to 1857 and small boats can explore the tidal waterways as far as Kingsbridge. Walkers on the South West Coast Path can enjoy spectacular views of the harbour from Bolt Head and at nearby Overbecks Gardens there are palms and other sub-tropical plants, which thrive in the area's mild climate.Description Authored by: Malcolm Lee,
