Zeal Monachorum

Zeal Monachorum is a rural village in Mid-Devon, 10 miles from Crediton and 17 miles from Exeter. The name itself means "Cell of the Monks", the manor being gifted to Buckfast Abbey by the King Canute who invaded Britain in 1018. Current population is over 400. Its shop/post office shut about two years ago.
