The Devon Town’s pages are now fully online.
These pages / sections include the main area information and resource directories. Where available the pages also have entry points for the previously blogged area reviews, events and the Devon photograph gallery – for an example visit the Torquay page!
Hope you enjoy!
Best Wishes and Happy New Year
The Devon Town’s reviews, comments and description pages are now online.
This section of DevonLink.co.uk is designed for residents with their local area knowledge to submit a review or description which bests describes their village, town or city. It also offers visitors the chance to comment or review on what they found when visiting the area and thus share their experiences with others who may visit in the future!
To see a good example of how the reviews pages are working – visit Woolacombe or Westward Ho! where Barbara and S Gent have described the coastal towns. Alternatively visit Clovelly where plenty of comments have been made regarding the charges to enter the picturesque village.
To add reviews to Devon’s towns and villages you will first need to navigate to the area required and follow the ‘Add a review to this page’ link, complete the form and submit!
The Devon Events & What’s On Calendar is now online – to see an example of a community events page, check out the Exeter events page.
These pages feature within each of the Devon areas covered by DevonLink.co.uk and lists any events that have been submitted to the appropriate area. The pages also show entries from the nearby Devon towns and villages.
If you wish to add a Devon town community event, you will need to navigate to the area required and follow the ‘Add an area Event’ link, complete the form and submit!
The New Devon Photo Gallery went live today with hundreds of Devon photographs already uploaded and online. The photos feature throughout the new gallery as well as the main DevonLink.co.uk site. Most of the pictures from the old gallery have been transferred with more still to come!
If anyone spots a Devon town section without a photograph and has one that they would like to see up there for all to see – then please send it in via the form here.
New DevonLink.co.uk Website Online
After months of planning and getting things how we wanted, the New Devonlink.co.uk site has gone live today! The site now covers hundreds of the Devon villages and towns within the county.
Although the site is live and hopefully all working fine, we are now within a live beta testing stage and offer apologies in advance should anything untoward happen and spoil your visiting experience.
We cannot, unfortunately control any websites linking to content addresses on the old site, but we have put a few redirects in to help the situation.
Once again, apologies if you experience any problems
Devon gets its first new town to be built since the middle ages.
The new town of Cranbrook will be a self-sufficient, low carbon community eventually offering up to 6,550 new Devon homes some of which will be classed as affordable housing.
The community will benefit from new schools, shops and transport links including a new £4.5m train station.
The town is located close to the Exeter Science Park on the outskirts of Exeter.

The blog will initially be used to record the changes and upgrades that we have planned for DevonLink.co.uk for the coming new year. Should you be interested in these changes, we also hope to keep you fully informed by also tweeting and placing a few updates on facebook!
